Today we’re going to be talking about what to do if you receive a notice from the IRS.
Most first-time tax notices are a change to your tax return. All tax returns are audited electronically by matching up the info they receive from you with the info they receive from your employer. If they don’t match, they send you a notice.
Conveniently, they only send you notices if you owe money. If you receive a second notice from the IRS, now we have a problem. But don’t panic. If you need help, call a capable CPA with experience. Someone like myself can help get this under control before the problem gets worse.
If you have any questions or any other tax related questions, give us a call or send us an email. We look forward to hearing from you!
